Instructor Benefits
Instructors certified through the USKF receive a number of benefits in excess of those they receive as a USKF certified black belt and member including, but not limited to; the opportunity to attend free instructional skills seminars, access to other USKF Instructors and Officials for business consultation, discounts on seminar and tournament application fees, and curriculum support.
Instructor Requirements:
The United States Kido Federation requires all teaching* black belt members to maintain USKF instructors certification. This requirement is waived for members who have independently achieved instructors certification through National Certification Commission on Martial Arts, the International TaeKwon-Do Federation, the International Jun Tong TaeKwon-Do Federation, and other affiliated organizations.
All instructor certification requirements are listed on the application, however; minimum requirements include time in grade, hours taught, CPR/First Aid Certification, and may include a background check. The USKF will not certify any member as an instructor who has been convicted of any crime against children, moral turpitude, felony theft, or felony drug offense.
All applicants must submit a completed application at which point the necessity for a background check will be determined. Applicants may be required to submit verification of an independent background investigation at their own cost if requested by the USKF. Reasons for automatic waiver include, but are not limited to those individuals working in fields that routinely require background investigation as part of licensure including but not limited to: Active Law Enforcement, Active Educator, Social Worker, and/or Active Military.
